It’s been a bit of a miserable day here in Notts, weather-wise that is.
Something that’s often overlooked when creating a lead magnet is the actual title.
In the book Magnetic Marketing by Dan Kennedy.
Dan emphasizes the importance of having a powerful title.
“He goes on to say the title of your lead magnet is like a headline, it has to interest people enough to want it, then motivate them to consume it when they get it.”
You need to take the time to create a really powerful title.
Where do you find great titles?
By looking at the covers of magazines or tabloids such as:
✅ The Enquirer
✅ Cosmopolitan
✅ Readers Digest
✅ And others
The headlines have to sell those magazines off the rack.
What we’re doing here is looking at the structure of the headlines that we can model.
A simple trick you can do is to search for a magazine and then click on the ‘Images’ tab, which will bring up lots of cover images.
(You could create a swipe file of magazine covers for possible title ideas.)
You can also get some great ideas from Amazon by looking in the book section at both the book and chapter titles.
And finally, you can also try using AI to give you some ideas
It’s a good idea to brainstorm ten titles for your lead magnet and then choose the one you think is best.
