Why time is money?

I hope you’re enjoying the Easter Sunday.

Whatever you’re doing today.

Last night I spent a few hours watching a TV series on itvX catchup.

(While eating an easter egg, my favourite one with the Whisper bar. Yum.)

Called Snowpiercer. Set not too far in the future.

About a specially designed train that you could say is like Noah’s Ark.

With a lot less animals.

It based on a world where most of the human and animal population has died.

The whole earth becomes a ball of ice.

When the earth’s temperature plumets to sub-zero temperatures. Every living thing that’s outside is dead within seconds.

If you haven’t seen it and you’re into sci-fi stuff like this then I highly recommend it…

I was reminded today of how you should be careful in how you spend your time.

There’s a saying from Gene Simmons book “Sex Money Kiss”.

“Get rid of things that take up TOO MUCH of your time… especially those things that don’t make you MONEY.”

There’s also a short example of this that Gene’s friend Rich Abrahm told him that crystalizes this idea:
“Rich’s high school teacher asked one of the students to stand in front of the class.

He gave the kid a dollar and asked him look at the clock on the wall, make a note of the time and then tear the dollar into little bits.

The kid hesitated, then did as he instructured.
It was 10:16 am and the dollar was in little bits.
Now what? The teacher said.

“Notice the time? 10:16? You will never have that minute back, ever again.
But that dollar?

You can always make more dollars.”

Gene goes on to say…

that every day you should be doing something to make money.

Gene talks about how he had two paper rounds, played part time in a band.

He ran his home-published magazine called Fanzines and did his homework.

Now I don’t know about you but the only thing I did that was anywhere close to this was having a paper round. Lol.

Fortunately, today’s a lot easier for people to make money with the internet.

Zaf.
